Cork Training Centre
The Cork Training Centre, located in Bishopstown Cork, is the main hub. It is a purpose-built structure which was completed in 1982. With a footprint of some 12000 square meters the building is situated on a site covering circa 14 acres, the building hosts 100 Cork ETB staff and 450 trainees/apprentices daily. The training provision is comprised of 35 classrooms and 25 workshops, while administration services are accommodated in 10 offices spread throughout the building and environs.
Programme types include Apprenticeship, Specific Skills Training (SST), Traineeship (provided by our own staff and designated contracted training providers), Evening Training, all of these are currently on offer in our Bishopstown centre. Qualifications provided range from QQI levels 3 to 6 on the framework, additionally we provide a range of both industry and other specific certifying body accreditations.
The training courses we offer are recognised by leading awarding institutions, and some are also QQI certified. Where required, we supplement in-house training with community training and in-house training. The majority of courses are free, and funding is available in certain circumstances.
