What's the difference between the old bespoke qualifications and the new QCF qualifications?

Bespoke (non-regulated)QCF (Regulated)
Internally regulated by CIBTAC

Externally regulated by Ofqual

More autonomy and personal control of the qualification External forces may influence the content/structure/delivery of the qualification
Uniquely offered by only one school or an agreed selection of schools; courses can be designed for individual organisations Becomes a shared unit that all  awarding organisations would be eligible to use.
As more control is held over the qualification CIBTAC can amend and care for the qualification in a less restricted and more timely manner Time implications involved in seeking support, approval and development of the qualification
Its individual bespoke nature may be its attraction in Centres and countries that do not require funding The qualification will be available and recognised on the QCF therefore may be eligible to attract funding
Courses will need to be self funding if QCF accreditation is a stipulation for that country

What do examiners look for during a practical exam?

CIBTAC’s approach to practical examinations have not altered from the ‘bespoke’  to QCF qualifications.

However, for more detailed clarification you may like to re-assure your Candidates by simply looking up the relevant  qualification overview  and you will see the marks awarded for each and every aspect.

This can be shown to your Candidates to help you clarify which key elements they need to focus on to demonstrate their skills.
