All qualifications are externally examined
by CIBTAC examiners.
All Examiners are selected for their expertise within the specialist
subjects.
Examiners must have:
- Recognised and appropriate qualifications in all subject areas
in which they will be examining.
- Experience in the relevant areas of work; having been qualified
for a minimum of five years.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience of teaching and assessing candidates.
Examiners are deployed by the CIBTAC administrative staff based
on their expertise relevant to the School/College portfolio of examinations,
availability and if based in the UK, locality.
Consistency of the examination process is ensured through the induction
and ongoing training work shops for examiners, clear examination
guidelines, as detailed in the Examination Handbook and individual
syllabi and rigorous marking procedures. Internal quality assurance
processes include the monitoring of examiners through evaluation
forms and the sampling of results and reports by the Director of
Education.
