what is the difference between CIBTAC and other awarding bodies?
CIBTAC is one of the longest established awarding bodies within the health and beauty sector. Working with our sister company BABTAC we are able to keep up to date and forward thinking as we work closely with a large portion of the UK industry leaders, salon owners and individual therapists. Internationally we have some of the best spas in the world teaching CIBTAC qualifications to their staff.
We are a not-for-profit organisation and re-invest our profits for the benefits of our Centres and members.
We are able to offer a unique and dynamic service to our Centres that larger organisations struggle to do. Each Centre has a dedicated examinations coordinator who provides a personal service and can respond to any queries in a professional, consistent and timely manner.
The rigorous examination process ensures all CIBTAC Graduates are well-trained, have the knowledge to safely carry out treatments independently and have the understanding and expertise to start adding their own flair to treatments as soon as they start working.
why should my training Centre offer CIBTAC qualifications when we already teach the local state or Government recognised qualification?
The fundamental differences between CIBTAC courses and local state or Government qualifications is recognition.
If you wish to work outside your country of origin you do need to be aware that not all local state and Government qualifications are accepted internationally, it depend on the awarding body and some are accepted in some countries and not others. CIBTAC has worked with many Governments internationally to develop our qualifications to meet all their standards as well as the UK standards. We are officially accepted in 26 countries currently and the list is constantly being added to and reviewed.
If you wish to do both local and CIBTAC international qualifications at your Centre then all you have to do is teach the syllabi to both standards at the same time. Some Centres use the RPL (Recognised Prior Learning) process to upgrade the Candidates to CIBTAC which means a few extra hours of study will offer your Candidates everything they need to work almost anywhere in the world.
