CIBTAC teaching and assessing qualifications are available at Level 3 and 4. The Level 4 qualification is funded (in the UK) when studied at a registered provider. The Level 3 qualifications are the usual minimum requirement for employment as vocational lecturer or assessor in the post 16 sector, by both further education and private colleges.
CIBTAC requires all tutors on its courses to hold or be working towards a regulated Level 3 award in education and training (AET) as a minimum. CIBTAC teaching courses are valid throughout the vocational sector, and provide the skills to effectively train adults in any setting, not limited to beauty and complementary therapy training. The skills provided by these courses are common to good teaching practice in any field.
